Red Granites Estaban is a truly stunning dark fawn male who has been dominating his own color classes since a juvenile - in both halter and walking fleece classes. From a young cria this male stood out as something extraordinary and has he has matured he has grown into an exceptional alpaca that exhibits all the positive traits that are desired by the most discerning breeders. Conformationally, Estaban is very correct in all aspects of his frame and movement. His substance of bone is high and when combined with his deep body and wide chest he presents very well when standing and in motion - just how we like them. The fleece that this male is growing is outstanding in all traits! He is ultra-fine and the fibers are extremely uniform. Each small well aligned staple contains fibers that are bright, deep crimping and consistent in color. Density also is not an issue with this male - he absolutely rocks! The third aspect that stands Red Granites Estaban in a league of his own is the fantastic pedigree he has. The odds of producing a rose grey from a full Accoyo paired with a light brown were slim—but genetics had other plans. Prince’s granddam (sire side) carries the influence of her top side, including the legendary .38 Special, and it clearly came through. We’ll take that win every time.
From day one, Prince has hit the ground running, checking every measurable box you’d hope for in a young male with this pedigree. His structure, presence, and early fleece traits all point toward a cria with serious potential.
Freshly shorn and ready to grow out his next fleece, Prince left behind a metric ton of superfine, beautifully consistent fiber that has us grinning ear to ear. Even at this young age, he’s already showing the architecture we were hoping for—tight, organized character with uniformity across the blanket and all the early indicators of a serious fleece producer. At Sweetgrass and Sage Alpaca and Wellness Farm, we offer flexible financing options to help you bring home your dream alpacas. Our financing terms include an initial deposit of 25% of the total purchase price, with the remaining balance payable in monthly installments over a period of up to 12 months. Contracts extending beyond 12 months will have an interest rate set at Prime + 1%. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
